Another coloured black and white photograph.

This time The Imperial Children in 1911. Maria in blue, Tatiana in purple, Anastasia in green, Olga in pink and Alexei in uniform.

I absolutely adore the dresses the girls wear. Based on the photographs I have seen of similar dresses of theirs that have survived to present day all of the girls dresses were of same colour. So it would be extremely likely that the dresses in the pictures also were all done in same colour. But I find colourful versions looking better on the girls.

Besides what little girls would want to wear dresses exactly like their sister wears? Because the dresses look alike I colour them to be in different colours.
