Sad Princess

Another coloured black and white photograph.

This time I coloured photograph taken of Princess Dagmar of Denmark when she was teenager but because she got married quite young and I don't know if this photograph was taken with camere that takes mirror image photographs I can't tell what year it was taken.

Dagmar is better known as Maria Fyodorovna Romanova to which she changed her name when she married future Tsar Alexander III of Russia. Dagmar had despite happy marriage and good relationship with her children, had very sad life. Her first fiance (her later husbands elder brother) died before they got married, her husband died at age of 49, she outlived all of her four sons and five grandchildren. And then there were people pretending to be her dead grandchildren in hopes of getting money so her life wasn't the best.
